Afrique en miniature
Cameroon lies between Central and West Africa and borders to Shad, Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria.
In the southwest of Cameroon you will find 350 kilometres of Atlantic coast (Gulf of Guinea).
As Cameroon expands from north to south it includes various climate and vegetation zones.
This is the reason of Cameroon carrying the name Afrique en miniature.
You can mainly divide Cameroon up in three parts:
Southern Highland – a plateau with tropical rainforests and a humid tropical climate
Western highland and the Adamaoua Plateau with high mountain rages , volcanoes and a more or less moderate climate
And the northern plateaus and mountains with it’s very hot and arid climate ( it stretches up to the shad lake ) during the very long dry season.
